| Among road safety professionals, the Netherlands is one of the leading countries worldwide. Road safety in the Netherlands, due to its structural approach for many years, is one of the very best in the world. La Prévention Routičre Internationale (PRI) is an international, non-governmental and non-profit road safety organization and sees possibilities to promote areas of the Dutch approach on a wider scale. Therefore PRI and VIA.nl will organize a workshop. The workshop will take place in the morning and before the annual PRI Members Meeting on Friday 25th November. The workshop will deal with the implementation in other countries of The Road Safety Report System, which involves citizens in road safety policy. The workshop will also outline the new possibilities for the road safety policies that are offered by the speed data of the navigation supplier, Tom-Tom. The first experiences in Portugal with the Road Safety Report System and speed data, in cooperation with a member of PRI, the national non-profit organisation Prevençăo Rodoviária Portuguesa (PRP), are positive.
